With the nights getting colder and colder, sometimes it’s lovely to hit the hay early! You want to feel cosy in your room, but with modern styles often being quite minimalist, it can sometimes be hard to achieve a look that is stylish as well as comfortable. In this blog, we’ve put together some ideas on how to make a cosy haven for you to curl up in on winter nights, whilst still maintaining a modern bedroom with style!
Colour schemes are very important when it comes to feeling comfortable in your bedroom. A colour that is really on trend at the moment and absolutely perfect for feeling warm is orange. A real interior design trend is to have one bright orange accent in a room, to bring some warmth and unique style. This could be a chair, a rug, or even your bed sheets. The rest of your bedroom should also have warm colours – try deep red for a luxurious feel! Alternatively, woodgrain furniture like our Sangallo or Mali Oak robes would bring a real traditional warmth to the room, whilst maintaining a contemporary style.
A modern bedroom doesn’t have to have a cold atmosphere, and lots of little things can be added to the room to give it a more comfortable environment. Try a fluffy throw at the end of the bed for a little bit of luxury! Throw pillows also create a great casual style, and can often be found in fun patterns and colours relatively cheaply. Lighting is an essential part of atmosphere in a room, and for a cosy look we recommend a few lamps for some dimmer but useful lighting.
We hope this helps you to make some little design tweaks that will allow your modern bedroom to have a warm and cosy feel for those chilly winter nights!
